As a new, professionally active member of Forskerforbundet (The Norwegian Association of Researchers), you are included in free home contents insurance for the first 6 months.
The insurance is valid from the day you become a member, meaning that your household contents are insured immediately.
Forskerforbundet’s (The Norwegian Association of Researchers) home contents insurance covers the personal belongings of you and your household in Norway, with an insured amount of up to NOK 3 million.
This includes items such as furniture, clothing, electronics and other personal property, and provides financial protection in case of theft, fire or accidental damage.

The contents insurance is free for the first 6 months from the date you join. After this period, the insurance will continue automatically at a low, member-exclusive price, unless you inform us that you do not wish to keep it.
You are free to cancel the insurance at any time before the free period ends.
